Sports Complex reaches RICS short list

19th February 2018

We are delighted that our Rainey Endowed sports complex project has been shortlisted for the 2018 RICS Awards in the tourism and leisure category. The annual RICS Awards for Northern Ireland recognise projects that contribute positively to Northern Ireland - this year has seen the highest number of entries in the Awards 28 year history.

Our team led by Site Manager Brendan McKinley constructed the new 4 court sports complex with viewing gallery, fitness/conditioning suite and gymnasium as well as classroom, offices and changing facilities. The state of the art complex for Rainey Endowed on Tobermore Road, Magherafelt was funded by the Department of Education and the Trustees of the School. Brendan worked closely with the School Principal Mark McCullough and Eamonn Monaghan of Keys and Monaghan Architects throughout the project

We were delighted to see this fantastic project receive recognition by the RICS. The NI RICS Awards 2018 are being held in the conference facility of The La Mon Hotel, Co Down – which Dixons also built - on 24th May 2018. The Northern Ireland winners then progress to the RICS Grand Final in November 2018.
