Training results for Dixons team

In the past 12 months, our HR Director Julie O’Hagan and HR Placement Student Clodagh Quinn have arranged and delivered training for 285 employees. Our office and site staff have been trained in subjects as diverse as child protection, procurement, plant training and spill kits.

The main training completed by site employees has included UKATA Non-Licensable Asbestos Courses, Use of Spill Kits, Face Fit training and testing, plus Site Supervisors safety and CSR training. Our office staff visited a leading specialist in construction and procurement law, Quigg Golden, where they received tremendous training on NEC3 & JCT Contracts. Other courses have included business continuity, internal auditing and social media.

We have been enforcing the message of how important our mental health is throughout the year, and our HR team have received vital training in ‘Health in Mind’.

We are committed to training and developing our employees to ensure that they have the skills and competence to carry out the work that we ask them to. Through our performance management review process we help each employee identify gaps in their skills and knowledge, then find suitable development opportunities for them including training and mentoring. We are always keen to help our staff enhance their skills and knowledge.
